How to place a custom order?

We always try our best to make the custom process simple.

  1. Locate the product you want: select your preferred product from our multiple collections. Each of our collections is a different product (fabric). Click the product link you like.
  2. Customize your product: finish your custom selections in product page, such as color, size, header style, or other selections. Remember to choose the quantity you need.
  3. Double check your selections: Review your products in cart. Adjust the quantity or remove any product if you need.
  4. Check out: click "Check Out" to proceed. Fill in your shipping address and enter your payment information. Once everything is set, simply finish the payment.

Now you have successfully placed your custom order! You will receive a confirmation email regarding the quantity and color of your order. For more detailed information, please contact our agents through support@uamblinds.com.

Price & Discounts

How do I apply discounts?

As a factory-direct brand, our prices are already lower than retail — no middlemen, no markups. We also offer two types of additional discounts: amount-off discounts that apply automatically when your order reaches the threshold, and discount codes you can enter at checkout.

I'm a retailer / designer / influencer, do you have any special trade program?

Yes! As a manufacturer, we offer factory-direct pricing and flexible wholesale options.

For retailers/designers: We provide complimentary samples, bulk pricing, and long-term partnership discounts. Contact us at support@uamblinds.com for details.

For influencers: We welcome collaboration opportunities. Reach out to support@uamblinds.com to discuss partnerships.

Regarding Custom Blinds & Shades

How do I measure for inside mount shades / blinds?

Measure the width at three points and use the narrowest measurement, then subtract 0.5 cm (3/16") for smooth installation. Measure height at three points and use the longest. For a complete step-by-step guide, see our How to Measure Your Windows for Cellular Shades guide, or visit our Measuring & Installation Guide.

How do I measure for outside mount shades / blinds?

Make sure both width and height are larger than the window frame so the shade fully covers the window. No width deduction is required for outside mount. See our Measuring & Installation Guide for full details.

How do I determine the size of my blind / shade?

Please refer to our Measuring & Installation Guide or contact us at support@uamblinds.com.

What is the difference between single cell and double cell honeycomb shades?

Single cell shades have one layer of honeycomb air pockets and provide basic insulation suitable for mild climates. Double cell shades have two layers, providing significantly better thermal performance and sound dampening — the most popular choice for bedrooms and living rooms in the US, Canada, and Australia. For a full comparison including R-value data, see our guide: Single vs Double vs Triple Cell Honeycomb Shades: R-Value Compared.

What is TDBU and do I need it?

TDBU stands for Top Down Bottom Up — a cellular shade with two independently movable rails. For a full comparison, see our guide: TDBU vs. Standard Cellular Shades: Is the Upgrade Worth It?

Should I choose blackout or light filtering for my cellular shades?

Light filtering is the right choice for living rooms, dining rooms, and home offices. Blackout is the right choice for bedrooms, nurseries, and home theaters. For a room-by-room breakdown, see our Blackout vs Light Filtering Blinds guide.

What is the R-value of your cellular shades?

The R-value of cellular shades depends on cell count and fabric type. Single cell shades typically provide R-3 to R-4; double cell shades reach R-4 to R-5; triple cell shades can reach R-6 or higher. Blackout fabric adds an additional reflective layer that boosts insulation further. For a detailed breakdown by cell count and climate, see our guide on honeycomb shades R-value and energy savings.

What insulation value do cellular shades provide for my windows?

The cellular shades insulation value comes from the honeycomb air pockets that trap still air between the glass and the room — the same principle used in double-pane windows. A well-fitted double cell shade can meaningfully reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. For a full explanation of how this works, see our guide to insulated cellular shades.

Do you offer motorized cellular blackout shades?

Motorized cellular blackout shades are available on select products. Please contact us at support@uamblinds.com with your window measurements and we'll confirm availability and pricing for your specific configuration.

Are your Day & Night shades cordless?

Yes. All UAM Blinds cordless day night cellular shades operate without hanging cords, loops, or chains — you raise and lower by gently pushing or pulling the bottom rail directly. This makes them safe for homes with children and pets.

Do your blackout cellular shades come with side tracks?

Our blackout cellular shades do not include side tracks as standard. The cordless design and precise custom sizing minimize light gaps at the edges. If complete edge-to-edge blackout is critical for your application, outside mount installation — where the shade extends beyond the window frame on all sides — is the most effective approach. Contact us at support@uamblinds.com for guidance.

Do you offer top down bottom up day night shades?

We currently offer TDBU and Day & Night as separate product lines. Our TDBU shades give you independent top-and-bottom rail control in light filtering or blackout fabric. Our Day & Night shades combine two fabric layers in one shade for seamless day-to-night transitions. If you're unsure which suits your window, contact us at support@uamblinds.com and we'll help you choose.

Roman Shades: Why am I receiving a different material header?

Due to unusual proportions, we upgrade the shade with a wooden headrail to enhance stability and performance.

For manual shades, how do I lift and pull off?

Do not pull the fabric or unfold the shade before it is fully installed. Once installed, use both hands to gently and evenly lift or pull down the bottom rail. Avoid pulling from just one side.

Can I trust the color shown in your pictures?

We always encourage customers to order physical Sample Books before making a final decision for the most accurate color representation.

Regarding Custom Curtains

How do I decide the size of my curtains?

If you have a track rod, the length will be chosen according to the length of the track rod to the floor. Please refer to our Measuring & Installation Guide for detailed instructions. If something is not sure, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@uamblinds.com.

Light-filtering VS. blackout curtains. Which one should I choose?

Light-filtering curtains are ideal for living rooms and dining rooms. Blackout curtains are best for bedrooms for sound insulation and quality sleep. Contact us at support@uamblinds.com if you need help choosing.

How do I install my curtains?

Please refer to our Measuring & Installation Guide for step-by-step instructions. You can also contact us at support@uamblinds.com.

Do you have any tips for installing a curtain rod?

Mounting the curtain rod close to the ceiling (rather than right above the window frame) guides the eye upward, making the room appear taller and more spacious.

Is it a price for one curtain or a pair?

Our curtains are priced per panel. When you select the quantity of 1, there will be 1 panel in your order.
